They took with them the usual holiday toys, but they remembered to pack a nice new Jaguar XFR, with a few mods necessary to run at Bonneville (roll cage, fire extinguishers, etc). They had a little fiddle with the ECU to derestrict it (and yield 600bhp) but, it is claimed, made no further mods apart from adding a spoiler at the back to stop the XFR taking off on the Salt Flats’ wide open spaces. New MG5 - but don't expect to see it until late 2013
The MG5 has been revealed – a Golf size hatch – and will launch in China this year. The UK and Europe will have to wait until late 2013. The first photos of the new MG 5 fluttered in to our inbox today, and it’s really the first time we’ve reported anything on the next MG from China since this time last year when we had early sketches of the MG5.
